Salehoo Review: Questions and Answers

Several months ago, way back in December 2017, I wrote a much longer Salehoo review, many readers have asked me specific questions about Salehoo and it's nearest competitor Worldwide Brands.  So I've decided to answer the most common questions in this separate post.

How many drop shippers does Salehoo have?

Salehoo lists more than 8,000 verified suppliers, about 90% of which offer to sell in bulk to buyers (they are wholesalers) and about 60% will deliver single units directly to your customers (drop shippers).

How many products does Salehoo have?

Salehoo lists about 1.6 million products from it's suppliers in a searchable database – more are added daily and unavailable products are removed, so the number is always at about 1.6 million.

How does that compare to Worldwide Brands?

Worldwide Brands has about 8,000 certified wholesalers and drop shippers as well – but from these they list over 15 million products for sale.

Are Salehoo products cheap enough to sell on eBay?

In many cases the answer to this question is yes, but not all.

Salehoo lists lots of low priced suppliers of generic goods, for example green cotton socks, but there may be a producer of green cotton socks in China that can make and sell them cheaper than Salehoo's supplier.

With branded goods though, Salehoo usually has the lowest prices.

SaleHoo, Doba and Worldwide Brands Compared

In this post I'm going to talk about Worldwide Brands, Salehoo and Doba – briefly introducing each and then comparing them at the end.

Worldwide Brands

Worldwide Brands is a directory of about 8,600 certified wholesalers and drop shippers with more than 15.5 million products listed at trade prices from these sellers in a searchable database.  It costs $299 to join and comes with forums, tutorials and tools as well.  It's the only directory that's certified by eBay and the oldest, having been established in 1999.

This is another directory – but smaller than Worldwide Brands with only about 1.6 million products listed.  It was founded in 2005 and costs a total of $67 per year.  Like WWB, it comes with forum access, tools and videos about selling on eBay.

Doba is a middleman, not a directory – but it's often compared to them as it's a good alternative.  However, it's much more expensive at $60 a month, and only offers products to be drop shipped – there are no options to buy in bulk form wholesalers with Doba.

Which is the Best?

Worldwide Brands is the leading directory of suppliers – covering both drop shippers and wholesalers – and is the only directory that's fully endorsed by eBay, the most difficult marketplace to sell on.  In my view, Worldwide Brands is the best.

Review of Worldwide Brands Drop-shipper Directory

If you resell online, then you have probably heard of Worldwide Brands (if not there are many Worldwide Brands reviews online).  There are a few other directories of verified suppliers online as well, including Doba and Salehoo, but Worldwide Brands is the most expensive – so why does it cost so much and is it really worth the money?

First of all, I want to talk about the good points of the WWB directory.

There are about 8,000 wholesalers and drop shippers listed, and from them there is a database of over 16 million products available at wholesale prices, and in many cases with a very low minimum order – the dropshipping suppliers have a minimum of only 1 unit at a time.

All the suppliers are fully vetted and verified by the staff at WWB before being added to the directory, so they are able to guarentee there are no scams in the database, which could save you a lot of money and time.

Worldwide Brands also comes with unlimited forum access – there are thousands of active members in the forums – and the customer support is very good.

So why is Worldwide Brands the most expensive directory of wholesalers online?  The simple answer is that it's the best; the largest, safest and in many cases has the lowest priced suppliers too.
